Since the launch of the MOROCCAN MOSAIC PUZZLE (MMP) dedicated to the art of Zellij, it has generated notable enthusiasm among different audiences. This encouraged us to expand our range and introduce other Moroccan arts that are just as ancestral and emblematic.
The art of Moroccan plaster carving, also called GEBS, is one of the most beautiful expressions of Morocco’s traditional craftsmanship, in perfect harmony with the work of zellij, wood, and copper.
Gebs decorates arches and frames, bringing finesse and delicacy.
Zellij covers floors and the lower parts of walls, bringing color and light.
Carved wood adorns ceilings and doors, adding warmth and serenity.
Light filtered through copper lanterns and chandeliers, perforated with geometric patterns or floral arabesques, illuminates every corner of living spaces.
This heritage of Andalusian-Islamic craftsmanship, developed over several centuries—especially during the Merinid and Saadian dynasties—combines these complementary arts in architectural decoration. They adorn palaces, riads, mosques, and the sumptuous traditional houses of Morocco.
You can admire these visual compositions in places such as the Bou Inania Madrasa, built in 1355 in Fez, the El Badi Palace, built in 1578 in Marrakech, or the Ben Youssef Madrasa, built in 1564 in Marrakech, as well as many other emblematic sites.
The art of Gebs is a symbol of elegance and spirituality, often associated with geometric and floral motifs inspired by nature and Arabic calligraphy.
We have selected some of the easiest models to create in both zellij and plaster. This concept allows you to connect tradition, creativity, and entertainment by handling the same materials that were used in the past, while discovering Moroccan culture and its ancestral history that spans thousands of years.

Dès le lancement du MOROCCAN MOSAIC PUZZLE (MMP) consacré à l’art du zellij, ce concept a suscité un engouement notable auprès de différents publics. Cela nous a encouragés à élargir notre palette et à introduire d’autres arts marocains, tout aussi ancestraux qu’emblématiques.
L’art de la sculpture sur plâtre marocain, appelé aussi Gebs, est l’une des plus belles expressions de l’artisanat traditionnel du Maroc, en parfaite harmonie avec le travail du zellij, du bois et du cuivre.
Le Gebs décore les arcs et les encadrements, apportant finesse et délicatesse.
Le zellij couvre les sols et le bas des murs, apportant couleur et lumière.
Le bois sculpté orne les plafonds et les portes, apportant chaleur et sérénité.
La lumière filtrée à travers les lustres et chandeliers en cuivre, perforés de motifs géométriques ou d’arabesques florales, illumine chaque coin des espaces de vie.
Héritage d’un savoir-faire andalou-islamique de plusieurs siècles, notamment à l’époque des dynasties mérinide et saadienne, ces arts, complémentaires dans la décoration architecturale, ornent les palais, les riads, les mosquées et les somptueuses maisons traditionnelles marocaines.
